Tips to Pass the Road Test:

PARALLEL PARKING
1. Right turn indicator when pulling up to the spot
2. Left indicator when pulling out
3. Check your mirror and blind spot before pulling out
4. You distance should be 6 – 18 inches from the curb

SPEED LIMIT
1. Parking lots speed limit is 15 MPH only
2. Residential Speed Limit – 30 MPH. Recommended is between 20-25 MPH.
3. Five below posted speed limit is always recommended in good conditions

TURNS
1. Right Turn into Right Lane Only
2. Keep the car in proper lane while turning

RIGHT OF WAY
1. Be aware if an intersection has 2 or 4 STOP signs
2. Traffic on the main/bigger road has the right of way when no control devices exists
3. For turning Right out on the road, you must wait until all 3 lanes clear on the left and no one making a U-Turn
from the right side

STOP SIGN
1. Stop completely for min 3 seconds at the STOP signs
2. You must stop the 2nd time, if visibility is obstructed

TRAFFIC LIGHT
1. Turning RIGHT on RED is permitted, but you must:
a) Stop completely
b) Check traffic coming from Left, Opposite, Right before proceeding safely
2. Left turn at traffic light:
a) Green Arrow – Proceed cautiously
b) Left turn at Yellow Flashing – Yield
c) Left turn at Green steady – Yield

HIGH RISK
1. Slow down for narrow passages, sharp curves, or hidden spots
2. Slow down when passing parked vehicles on the road
3. If you can, keep Aprox 4 feet distance from parked vehicles
