Texas Teens Driving Program is designed to provide safe, high-quality driver education with DPS-approved training, experienced instructors, and a supportive learning environment. Whether your teen is just getting started or ready for the road test, we guide them every step of the way.

Learners License (Age 15):

Teens can obtain a learner’s permit at 15, but must be enrolled in a State of Texas approved Drivers Education Program. With a learner’s permit, teens can only drive with Driving School and practice with a licensed driver age 21 or older supervising in the front seat.

Provisional Driver License (Age 16):

To obtain a provisional license, teens must be at least 16 years old and have held a learner’s license for at least six months. They need to complete the Classroom and behind-the-wheel portion of driver education, including the ITTD program within 90 days of taking the driving test. They must also successfully pass the driving test.
